Around 80% of us are in the wrong bra size. Literally millions of women are not looking or feeling as good as they deserve to. In fact, when did you last get fitted? Have you ever been properly fitted?
What does good fit give you?
- More comfort
- Less chance of sagging boobs
- Better posture
- More confidence – and feeling good inside, makes you look even better outside
Sporty? You need the right bra too
You need a sports bra that minimises bounce. Otherwise, too much movement could cause sagging and pain in your shoulders, neck and back. With a good bra, you can focus on your workout without worrying about your bust.
Getting Fitted
If you’ve never had a bra fitting – or it’s just been a while – don’t be put off. You’ll find friendly, helpful Freya-trained fitters at major department stores or good independent boutiques. They’ll help find the right size and style for you. You should get fitted every six months. Our bodies change all the time, so it’s really important to keep checking your bra size

Bad Bra Hell
- Double boobs as your breasts are squeezed out of the cup
- When the underwire doesn’t hold your boobs properly, it can dig in and let them droop down
- Your underband is too loose, so it’s riding up at the back
- Your underwire is standing away from your chest
- Your straps are digging in because they’re too tight
- Your straps are slipping off your shoulders because they’re too loose
- Droopy boobs because they just don’t have enough support
Good Bra Heaven
- Your underband is level and snug (but not too tight) all the way round
- Your boobs are fully held and supported by the underwire
- There’s no overspill or puckering in the cup
- Your underwire sits flat against your chest wall
- A comfortable, supportive fit that makes you look great
Types of Bust
When you’re choosing a bra that’ll make you look great, you need to consider what you’re working with. Different styles suit different bust shapes.
Bust Type
Common Features
Bras That Work
Small
You need a bra that will lift, hold and enhance your boobs.
Average
Your boobs are easier to lift and shape than any other type.
Full
Your boobs tend to sit lower on the chest than the average bust. But don’t lift them too much, they need to look natural.
Pendulous
Your boobs aren’t necessarily large, but they do lie quite low on your chest.
Different Sizes
This is actually very common and there can be as much as a cup size between one boob and the other.
