Fifty shades of… lingerie!

Fifty shades of… lingerie! 0

So own up….who else has been reading Fifty Shades of Grey?

I was being bombarded by my friends on this ‘must read’ book and not one to want to miss out felt the need to purchase the erm…..set!

Well, it has been an education I can tell you!

Christian Grey – Mr fifty shades of completely messed up in the head, is in fact a magnet not only pulling Ana (the lucky girl ) under his spell but the reader in as well. As much as your head is saying ‘Oh no, not for me thank you’, you kind of want to understand where Christian is coming from (no pun intended) as it actually seems all so exciting. I think it is because underneath it all, you hope it is more than just the sex and actually a love story!

I am onto the second book. I read the first in three days (the children had to fend for themselves) and whilst it is not literary genius it is rather entertaining with quite a good psychological underpinning to it. Beside when Charles Dickens wrote his first novels, people were not all that impressed at the time and look at him now!

It got me thinking. Whilst I am perfectly happily with my ‘Vanilla sex’ (You will need to read the book to know what this means as I am not about to embark on a sex education class right now! *BLUSH!* ) I am not adverse to vanilla sex moving from Tesco finest to Waitrose, or even Harrods own!

The Balcony Bra and Thong

I love a balcony bra! They always give such a nice shape whilst ensuring a real feel good sexy appeal so I was delighted to be given the beautiful Freya Ingrid balcony bra to review.

I have discussed my grief over my long lost cleavage before but with this bra I feel as if I have a little bit of me (the bustier version) back! I shall reveal all…that being my thoughts and NOT my cleavage!

Lingerie love – a legacy 0

I have had a fascination with lingerie since my teenage years.

At the age of 16 I worked in the lingerie section of  a retailers for Saturday job and I adored the different designs, shapes, cups and fits I suddenly discovered. I think my weekend wages were ploughed back into my new found passion but I was armed with new knowledge about well fitted bras, and far too much experience of older ladies and gravity….Later, for an A level art project I looked into the history of underwear, and the love of lingerie has stayed with me since those days.

I have always been well endowed since a young age – I was the girl in school with big boobs at getting my bra straps pinged by the boys and avoiding the swim days to keep my figure hidden. I loved to wear baggy clothes ( hey, it was the 90′s and I was an indie kid) but, sadly, spent a lot of time hiding my figure as I felt embarrassed at the attention my chest seemed to get.  At 18 I was  32DD with 26″ waist – how I would LOVE to have those stats these days – I am a 32 F and size 12 waist/hips, not an easy combination for dress sizes I can tell you.
