Yoga magic

I have recently been rediscovering the magical properties of Hatha Yoga.

As an endometriosis girl finding ways to complement my energy levels and cardiovascular activities are a challenge; I used to go to yoga before having the Mini Divas, and have been back for the the last 3 weeks for some much needed strength and stretching. More

Hello and Goodbye!

Hello and Goodbye! 0

Hello Freya fans! My name’s Katie Antoniou and I’m thrilled to be one of Freya’s new bloggers. I’m actually about to head off on holiday to America, so I thought I’d write a quick blog post to introduce myself and give you a peek inside my luggage before I set off. Pictured are some of my hand luggage essentials for a long trip- starting in the top left and working clockwise:

Music: I like to have something new on my ipod for a long plane journey- at the moment I have Gabby Young and Other Animals’ new album which has been the soundtrack to my summer.

Luxe City Guides: I used to have a real aversion to travel guides; so many just send you straight to all the tourist sites, whereas I actually prefer to discover all the best local hang-outs. I was sent the Luxe limited edition bespoke White Linen summer collection recently- you get to choose which 5 city guides it includes- and was thrilled to see that the London guide book included all the spots I would recommend to someone visiting our capital. I took this to be a good sign that these guys actually know what they’re talking about, so I’m looking forward to discovering other cities with their insider knowledge!

Hello Freya Fans! Great to meet you all and so excited to be here blogging about the fabulous-ity of Freya, as one of their Winners of the 2012 Blog Star 2 Competition.

I am thrilled to be part of ‘Team Fitting Talk’ as a personal stylist and shopper based in the North West who has spent the last 5 years telling any woman who will listen about how a well-fitting bra can transform the look of any outfit, and go a long way to boosting confidence, in addition to boosting other more obvious assets!

I’m Nicola Cupples, a 31 year old gal living in Cheshire otherwise known as Style Companion who has quite a serious obsession with clothes and wardrobes – other people’s that is! Yes as a Personal Shopper my ‘office’ is actually inside other people’s wardrobes or a changing room somewhere, where I continue my mission to boost the confidence of women across the land by helping them to rediscover their style or indeed find new inspiration.

Training & new Freya Active 0

dex diva cycletta

Hello lovely Fitting Talk readers!

I am sure you watched the Olympic Opening ceremony like me on Friday – wasn’t it MINDBLOWING? I loved the whole thing, from Branagh as Brunel to Mr Bean, Bond and the Queen, Becks on a boat…all of it was magical inspiring and just so….us.

So in the Olympic spirit I am of course still training for Cycletta and Run to the Beat. On Friday I was out on my mountain bike in the fens for 17k bike ride, and today I donned my trusty Team Bangs on the Run top and my Freya Active set to crank out a 4 mile run.

I feel like I have such a long way to go to get my stamina back up enough to be able to do 13 miles in October, but I know the cycling as cross training will help, and I have enough time to get myself there slowly, week by week.

Going Strapless and heels hurt!

Going Strapless and heels hurt! 0

Life has been manic lately. Trying to find the time to site down at the computer without someone telling they need a wee, or a drink, or so and so has taken there toy has become tough. I have also had lots of work commitments on top of a husband that has taken on extra work, so for the last four weeks I have had kids seven days a week and no break (an this week will make three!). I only tell you this because I have not stopped by for a few weeks and have missed the glamour and adult company that is Freya Fitting Talk.

So my last break was four weeks ago when I attended another conference in London. This one was aimed more at the Mummy market but had some fabulous speakers like Sarah Brown and Cherry Healey and Katie Hill all there. It was spread over two days and was full on with seminars you could attend, PR networking, photography workshops and of course an award ceremony.

It was inspiring and brain buzzing and exhausting but I really enjoyed it.

Of course the key thing about preparing for such events is the ‘What to wear scenario?”

I determined to wear heals on the Friday. I love shoes, is it one of my passions but the practicality of wearing these days is not so good, so they stay and look beautiful in the wardrobe, teasing me.

Out they came on Friday – my beautiful Office shoes in a nude colour. OMG how much have I forgotten what heels are like? To say my feet hurt by the end of the day was an understatement. I feared I might never walk again! They did look good though!
