5 Tips to Update Your Wardrobe

5 Tips to Update Your Wardrobe 0

Kids are back at school and even though our British summer has been somewhat unpredictable in terms of weather, it’s relatively safe to say that we know what to expect when it comes to weather for autumn and winter. When you leave the house to drop the kids off one day and you find yourself shivering whilst wearing your much-loved spring jacket (that has been a ss12 staple) you may realise that you are in no way prepared for autumn (emotionally, mentally or physically). Yikes.

Just the smallest bit of preparation before autumn kicks in can mean that you can make the most of all the great stock available in the shops and avoid wasting money on clothes that you aren’t ever going to wear. It’s also a very therapeutic and cleansing way to start the new season!

Going Strapless and heels hurt!

Going Strapless and heels hurt! 0

Life has been manic lately. Trying to find the time to site down at the computer without someone telling they need a wee, or a drink, or so and so has taken there toy has become tough. I have also had lots of work commitments on top of a husband that has taken on extra work, so for the last four weeks I have had kids seven days a week and no break (an this week will make three!). I only tell you this because I have not stopped by for a few weeks and have missed the glamour and adult company that is Freya Fitting Talk.

So my last break was four weeks ago when I attended another conference in London. This one was aimed more at the Mummy market but had some fabulous speakers like Sarah Brown and Cherry Healey and Katie Hill all there. It was spread over two days and was full on with seminars you could attend, PR networking, photography workshops and of course an award ceremony.

It was inspiring and brain buzzing and exhausting but I really enjoyed it.

Of course the key thing about preparing for such events is the ‘What to wear scenario?”

I determined to wear heals on the Friday. I love shoes, is it one of my passions but the practicality of wearing these days is not so good, so they stay and look beautiful in the wardrobe, teasing me.

Out they came on Friday – my beautiful Office shoes in a nude colour. OMG how much have I forgotten what heels are like? To say my feet hurt by the end of the day was an understatement. I feared I might never walk again! They did look good though!

Which Freya are you today? 0

Choosing which Freya lingerie underwear set to wear each day is one of my favourite choices of the day.

I love that I can choose from a nude, neutral Deco for sheer and seamless support, or a leopard print Roxeanne, a girly Luisa or a foxy Lyla; I like to think that each set brings out something else in me, a girly side, the vampy side, the mum-at-home side. All of them are part of me. More

Grazia hails the “return of the soft body” 0

Hurrah! Oh, Freya girls did I ever rejoice on reading this week’s Grazia headline….

Apparently, according to the weekly fashionista’s bible, hard, worked out bodies are OUT….and soft, womanly curves are IN.

I know! Lets rejoice that all of us full-cupped lingerie ladies and fans of Freya can rest assured that we are, for now at least, in fashion flavour favour.

Leading the trend, apparently, is the Kardashian curves and the post-partum Beyonce.

I say we should celebrate our womanly figures anyway, don’t you?
