I want to be a Flapper! 0

Oh yes, I have decided I have missed out on an awesome era. That of the 1920′s when women were breaking free and expressing themselves in sexy garments and undergarments, had bobbed hair, listened to jazz, enjoyed sex (shhh..yes really enjoyed!) drank, wore makeup and had fun! Think the musical Chicago and you will get the image!

It was an era when women said no to the flat chest and broke free into what we see now as the bra! Sexy, classy, and sultry.

The reason I have come to this conclusion is because I got a fabulous day off (from that Multiple Mummy life) last week to view the new Spring/Summer collection of underwear and swimwear brought to you by Eveden!

Autumn/Winter 2011: Taylor strapless review 0

For anyone who has read my photo blog of how I utilised the Freya Deco strapless, you’ll know that for a 28/30 backed girl finding a strapless can be like being between hell or high water. A hackneyed phrase has never been more apt than describing a strapless bra for me which is both comfortable, pretty, and a great fit really is as rare as hen’s teeth.

The Deco is a really practical wonderful bra and has become my go-to bra for any strapless outfit and I thought it couldn’t be rivalled but it has been beaten to the ground by the stunning Taylor strapless.

The subtle yet knockout detailing of the striped sheer fabric overlay, bronze felt stripe and ribbon and strip of lace is so sophisticated. It takes a practical item and injects a bit of sex appeal that the plain Deco version was lacking (not to worry poor Deco, you’ll always have your place in my heart and my wardrobe!).

Autumn/Winter 2011: Freya Naomi Review 0

So it’s safe to say that winter is here. Soon we’ll be turning our clocks back and our evenings will get darker and gloomier before our very eyes. One thing that has kept me cheerful through this dark time has been waiting for my next Freya pick-me-up to arrive and I have to say A/W 2011 looks set to be an absolute treat.

First up from the collection I was kindly sent a Freya Naomi to have a look at and I have to say it’s not my usual style. I’m very much more of a FLORALS upon FLORALS kind of girl with the odd splash of lace, however the Naomi’s quirky monochrome houndstooth was something that didn’t scream ‘BUY ME’ when I was salivating over the sumptuous ‘Coming Soon‘ part of Freya’s all-new website.

The importance of correctly fitted maternity Lingerie 0

After having three babies myself you would think I was an expert on maternity lingerie but in fact when I look back I think I was not given very good advice. If I had taken better care of my breasts during pregnancy and following whilst breastfeeding I think I might have rescued them a little. The importance of a correctly fitted maternity bra, I now see is really an essential part of breast well being.

Most woman find that one of the first signs of pregnancy are breasts that are increasing in size and can often be tender. During the course of your pregnancy your breast size and shape can change dramatically. This is not reflective of putting on weight – do not fear if your back size increases; this is because you ribs are expanding due to making room for the little person growing inside you!
