At this time of year you tend to hear a lot about what people intend to wear for their Christmas Eve night out/Christmas party/New Year’s Eve bash – but what about what you’re going to snuggle into on Christmas Eve to watch The Snowman? What you’re going to wake up in and run down to get (ahem, give) your presents and eat the biggest roast dinner of the whole year? It’s a tough job but one that was thankfully answered for me earlier this month in the form of a soft-as-kitten’s breath mini dressing gown and a pyjama set adorned with an entire flock of pretty pets. That’s right, it could only be the Ingrid Freya Lounge set.

I’ve been a long-standing fan of Busts 4 Justice since their epic battle against tit-tax back in 2007, and the fabulous Busts 4 Justice blog has kept me hooked ever since. Author Beckie Williams writes topical,interesting (and sometimes controversial!) posts about the joys and faux pas’ of The Lingerie World. Her sparkling wit and talent to spot a great story has often engaged me and left me thinking, her charming way with words and delightful anecdotes (anyone else fancy a ride on Cecil?!) has kept me going back to the ‘B4J’ blog time and time again, but recently, I left feeling dismayed.

I know it seems like only a few short months ago we were in the blistering heat of Summer, and it seems crazy that it will be Christmas one month from today. Don’t panic, as Freya have been lending their customers helping hand at various fitting events across the country so that they know which bra size to tell Santa to buy them. I went along to the Selfridges event last weekend for a spot of Freya stalking, and I was really impressed with the style and size range that was available.

Debenhams have great taste and stock a LOT of Freya, particularly in their Oxford Street store. Freya as a brand love to not only create outstandingly gorgeous lingerie (but we all know that, right?) they also love to spread their unrivaled ethos for a good fit which comes hand in hand with their sales. To showcase this, they held events across the UK where a Freya specialist showed onlookers what to look for in a correct-fitting bra.

For anyone who has read my photo blog of how I utilised the Freya Deco strapless, you’ll know that for a 28/30 backed girl finding a strapless can be like being between hell or high water. A hackneyed phrase has never been more apt than describing a strapless bra for me which is both comfortable, pretty, and a great fit really is as rare as hen’s teeth.

The Deco is a really practical wonderful bra and has become my go-to bra for any strapless outfit and I thought it couldn’t be rivalled but it has been beaten to the ground by the stunning Taylor strapless.

The subtle yet knockout detailing of the striped sheer fabric overlay, bronze felt stripe and ribbon and strip of lace is so sophisticated. It takes a practical item and injects a bit of sex appeal that the plain Deco version was lacking (not to worry poor Deco, you’ll always have your place in my heart and my wardrobe!).
