Debenhams have great taste and stock a LOT of Freya, particularly in their Oxford Street store. Freya as a brand love to not only create outstandingly gorgeous lingerie (but we all know that, right?) they also love to spread their unrivaled ethos for a good fit which comes hand in hand with their sales. To showcase this, they held events across the UK where a Freya specialist showed onlookers what to look for in a correct-fitting bra.
Last week I popped along to 28 Portland Place to have a nose at the SS12 collection from Eveden, and dribble over beautiful lingerie. With the Mini Divas in attendance too (they recommended highly the chocolate brownies at the launch) it was amazing to have a sneak peek at the luscious large cup lingerie we will all be sporting next season.
I was particularly in love with the range of 20′s and 50′s inspired fabric prints on the forthcoming ranges, there is a real sense of pattern and vintage references.
Things that made me go ooooooh: More

When Cheryl and I went to MODA together back in August, we were lucky enough to see most of the S/S12 collection, but nothing quite compares to a press event. There’s a sense of urgency at Moda – as bloggers we can feel in the way of ‘serious’ buyers and not really take our time going through the collections. By this I actually mean cuddling them all in sheer glee and taking a million photos to lust over at a later date. Don’t get me wrong, Moda is wonderful and all the brands are so welcoming, but as Freya fan girls sometimes we just need an unnecessary amount of time with the beautiful lingerie, and the recent Eveden press event was the perfect opportunity for this.
Sadly Cheryl could’t come for the day, much to her annoyance (read: strop) and whilst I was going along any ways, I realised it was time I stepped up my game and masqueraded as a different blonde for the day. Instructed to take as many photos as I possibly could, off I went to London, invite in hand.
Oh yes, I have decided I have missed out on an awesome era. That of the 1920′s when women were breaking free and expressing themselves in sexy garments and undergarments, had bobbed hair, listened to jazz, enjoyed sex (shhh..yes really enjoyed!) drank, wore makeup and had fun! Think the musical Chicago and you will get the image!
It was an era when women said no to the flat chest and broke free into what we see now as the bra! Sexy, classy, and sultry.
The reason I have come to this conclusion is because I got a fabulous day off (from that Multiple Mummy life) last week to view the new Spring/Summer collection of underwear and swimwear brought to you by Eveden!
For anyone who has read my photo blog of how I utilised the Freya Deco strapless, you’ll know that for a 28/30 backed girl finding a strapless can be like being between hell or high water. A hackneyed phrase has never been more apt than describing a strapless bra for me which is both comfortable, pretty, and a great fit really is as rare as hen’s teeth.
The Deco is a really practical wonderful bra and has become my go-to bra for any strapless outfit and I thought it couldn’t be rivalled but it has been beaten to the ground by the stunning Taylor strapless.
The subtle yet knockout detailing of the striped sheer fabric overlay, bronze felt stripe and ribbon and strip of lace is so sophisticated. It takes a practical item and injects a bit of sex appeal that the plain Deco version was lacking (not to worry poor Deco, you’ll always have your place in my heart and my wardrobe!).
