Taking my Freya to NYC 0

I had the girls dream recently of a long weekend in New York. I hopped over the pond with my lovely friend Michelle and spent our 3 days shopping, checking our diners and cupcakes, and taking it all in. Mainly shoppong and eating though, to be fair… I adored New York and love to soak up the atmosphere of the city, but as I didnt have much room in my suitcase for glitzy clothes I had a trick up my sleeve….my lovely, foxy fashionista Nina set. Now, I can handle wearing trainers, jeans and comfy tourist clothes but a girl has to feel glam in NYC, right? Here is what I packed for New York. I took my Nina, my Deco in nude, my Crystal and my Lyla in pink. Which Freya sets would you take to browse the Big Apple?

Feeling Pixieish?

Feeling Pixieish? 0

Sometimes just sometimes, I like to be a little pixie like.

Sometimes I will accidently hand my husband cutlery knowing it’s two forks.

Sometimes I will eat two chocolate flakes in one day and claim the children got to them!

Sometimes I like to pair all the sock oddly.

Sometimes I think I might be a little bored! Sometimes I am!

But mostly it alway done with a pixieish glint in my eye and it give me those secret giggles that you get.

10 reasons to stay in loungewear during Winter 0

freya ingrid loungewear

So winter is still here, and hibernation isn’t over yet by any means. Are you feeling warm and snuggly, or fed up of the cold?  I have been spending a lot of time in my gift from Freya since it arrived at Christmas. I won’t tell you how much time exactly, but I do work from home so you get the idea… My Ingrid Loungewear set has seen me through a few evenings by the fire watching films, whole Sundays lounging (as much as is possible with young toddlers!) Christmas week and now into the prolonged Winter blues.

So, this Winter I suggest you snuggle up and do what loungewear is made for – lounging!

Here are my top 10 reasons to stay in loungewear until Spring has sprung…

The Business Suit of Underwear!

The Business Suit of Underwear! 0

You know those days where you need to feel confident on the inside and the outside. The days where you need to make and impression and a good one, where everything you say counts and you need to ooze professionalism and power? These days include things like when you have an interview, or are completing the latest business deal or in my case an OFSTED inspection or when you are trying to convince the pre-school that actually you are in control of your three children and yes you really did mean for them to pull at the top of your top and let a boob fall out! (Whoops did I say that outloud?)

Well those days, where actually in fact deep within the core of it you are a quivering wreck, I have found you some salvation. That is the beautiful and highly classy underwear otherwise known as Lauren.

Snuggle up for winter

Snuggle up for winter 1

So I know that we are now in February but Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful but very manic Christmas in the Multiple Mummy household entertaining 16 people in total on Christmas day! You almost feel that after the mayhem of the Christmas break you need a holiday to recover. The nights seem to get longer and darker, the weather colder and wetter and the January blues creep in. Now in February we have snow! It is lovely to be out in it for short bursts and then fabulous to come home into the warmth a house and get all toasty again.

I  however love this time of year and winter is in fact my favourite season. I love the crisp frost in the mornings, I love the darkness creeping in at night when you can start to light the house aglow with lamps and candles and I am not adverse to a bit of welly boot puddle splashing (with three children it is a must!). Most of all though, I love the fact that it is the time of year where I can get all cosy and snuggle up for winter. Mulled wine, hot chocolate, blankets, chocolate and a DVD are my idea of a perfect night in 9oh how things have changed). I love the freedom to wear chunkier and baggier clothes so the extra pounds of food you should not be eating don’t notice quite so much (or that’s what I tell myself) and to be makeup free of an evening after a bubbling soak in the tub.
