Freya at the MOBO Awards 0

Last week I was lucky enough to have been invited by Freya along to the MOBO Awards show in Glasgow, Scotland. My first thoughts were: ‘Crumbs, what am I going to wear?!’ and ‘How am I going to contain myself amongst all the celebs? It was a tough job but somebody had to do it and I had one of the most amazing star-studded and bass-fuelled nights of my life! I arrived in Bristol to catch my flight on Tuesday 4th and after some panic dress and clutch bag buying boarded my plane, full to the brim with nerves and dreading the inevitable delay or terrible even curse which seems to haunt me when I’m due someplace important at a certain time which leads to nothing but shredded nerves and smudged nail varnish (but that’s another story!) Amazingly, nothing dreadful or unfortunate happened on my travels to Glasgow (other than perhaps embarrassing myself when I got really excited by a man wearing a kilt in the airport *cringe*) and I found I had a few hours to do a bit more panic shopping in Glasgow city centre, paint my nails and watch the Alan Titchmarsh show in my hotel room. Nerves and excitement aside, I teetered on my stilettos to the SECC Arena in Glasgow, retrieved my press pass and hall ticket and marched past all the screaming fans to the red carpet area to get my Tweet on for Freya. London Fashion Week: Are visible bras and bra straps a fashion faux pas? 0

If you flick through some of the snaps from London Fashion week you may see a surprising amount of visible bras, cutaway dresses and sheer fabrics. These trends all look fantastic on the red carpet but is this a trend that us mere mortals can rock too?

Some bras are all about fit and function and some are made to be seen. I don’t see why this look should be feared for a night out; if you’ve got the confidence to wear a gorgeous bra under a sheer top this Autumn then why not just do it?! Ellie Goulding is!

Well,I have been a very spoiled girl this week as the Freya team invited me to join them at the Prima Fashion Awards held at Battersea Evolution Marquee in London.

This was the 17th Comfort Prima High street fashion awards and attracted over 100o guests this year! The theme this year was Bright and Whites and this was very much reflected in the decoration of the marquee.

Freya Lacey 0

I wore this outfit to work in the week, as it was a neutral palette I needed my underwear to not show through my clothes. This did not mean however that I was happy to wear a boring nude t-shirt bra and nude granny pants, or a thong for that matter as I just don’t find them comfortable. So the Freya Lacey set was perfect, nude and not visible under my clothes but still pretty enough to wear and feel attractive in, from underwear up, rather than just from the clothes on the outside who were hiding a ugly secret beneath.
