I have been itching to write a blog post for years, but I never found the time or the right words! After nearly a year working with Freya, I have found a passion for wearing, writing and learning about lingerie. The thing is I am a 32G and working at Freya is a dream come true! So I wanted to let you all in on my Freya journey and what better way than on the Freya blog?

Finding Freya
When I was in my teens I found lingerie and boobs a taboo subject – something which I blushed at and the thought of a bra fitting was scary. I came to Eveden in 2009 as a university placement student, wearing a 38DD greying bra. As soon as I sat at my desk, I could feel the eyes of my colleagues burning into my chest and sure enough I was ushered down to Freya design where I was fitted, only to find that I was a 32G! Hoorah! Since that fitting I have never looked back, I have become somewhat of a preacher when it comes to lingerie fitting – I tell anyone and everyone. The funny thing is, no one ever yawns when you are offering bra fitting advice or lingerie tips as it is something that women love to be educated about. Once I have told them how a good fitting bra should look and feel, I then whip out my secret weapon – the latest Freya brochure and now all of my friends and family are hooked!

I went away for a girl’s hen night weekend a few weeks ago and I was discussing the merits of my smaller boobs since having children. The girls were not quite convinced and said they loved my bigger boobs, but having been both full busted and now should we stay cough ahem petit (actually strained teabags but that’s what bra’s are for hey?) I can definitely see the advantages and disadvantages to both sides of the fence. So I decided to put it to twitter and these were the responses. This week we are going to look at the advantages and disadvantages of the bigger breasted lady!

Advantages of Big boobs (Taken from things people said on twitter!)

@_Johnsonbabies  I never had to wonder what ‘chicken fillets’ were? – True, you never have to worry about extra padding or volume with an ample bosom!

@mummyandmonkey They look fantastic in certain tops and clothes fit better – I agree, in the days when my boobs were bigger, they looked fab in cross over and square cut tops as the cleavage was shown off to its best advantage! Some people however with big boobs actually find themselves to be out of proportion.

Can wear dresses that are low cut – Plunging necklines don’t really work unless your boobs are fake as there is little natural uplift and actually it can look a bit too much in your face!

@innocentcharmer Feel attractive womanlier – I can understand this viewpoint. Curves in the right places can make you feel grand!

Clothes fit better – Not always but you certainly can fill clothes out better on the top half. Some people with big boobs actually find themselves to be out of proportion!

Body looks more in proportion – only if your boobs evenly match your hips!

@MummyLion Attracts the boys – Yes they do! I no interest in me at school until my boobs grew overnight (so much so, people rumoured I had had a boob job at 16! Yeah, right!) And Valentine’s that year was quite busy!

@Needaphone Get to front of line in pubs – It is easier to get served. They are noticed more!

@MummyLion could work as a stripper or a Topless model! – He he, Yes, work is available but I fear in my case you have to have the face to go with it!

I’ve been a long-standing fan of Busts 4 Justice since their epic battle against tit-tax back in 2007, and the fabulous Busts 4 Justice blog has kept me hooked ever since. Author Beckie Williams writes topical,interesting (and sometimes controversial!) posts about the joys and faux pas’ of The Lingerie World. Her sparkling wit and talent to spot a great story has often engaged me and left me thinking, her charming way with words and delightful anecdotes (anyone else fancy a ride on Cecil?!) has kept me going back to the ‘B4J’ blog time and time again, but recently, I left feeling dismayed.

Freya prepare for Christmas at their Fitting Event in Selfridges, London 0

I know it seems like only a few short months ago we were in the blistering heat of Summer, and it seems crazy that it will be Christmas one month from today. Don’t panic, as Freya have been lending their customers helping hand at various fitting events across the country so that they know which bra size to tell Santa to buy them. I went along to the Selfridges event last weekend for a spot of Freya stalking, and I was really impressed with the style and size range that was available.

Debenhams have great taste and stock a LOT of Freya, particularly in their Oxford Street store. Freya as a brand love to not only create outstandingly gorgeous lingerie (but we all know that, right?) they also love to spread their unrivaled ethos for a good fit which comes hand in hand with their sales. To showcase this, they held events across the UK where a Freya specialist showed onlookers what to look for in a correct-fitting bra.
