A Cheshire Fashion Event to Remember… 0

My Style Companion and Make Events

Recently I helped to organise the launch of a new luxury designer boutique in Alderley Edge called Rocca where it was my job to secure the VIP guest list for the evening and ensure that Rocca entered Alderley with a bang, as the owner was new to the area and wanted someone who knew fashion, and had contacts in the local community.

I was chuffed to be asked to be involved in the launch of this beautiful new shop which stocks Victoria Beckham handbags, Charlotte Olympia shoes (my favourite at the moment!), Jonathon Saunders, Osman and Emilio de la Morena who even designed a special dress in homage to the owner of the store which one of my friends snapped up quicker than you could say ‘limited edition’.

Feeling a little like the task needed someone who knew how to turn out seriously impressive red carpet events, fit for the local WAGs, I turned to Holly Moore of Make Events who helped to organise all the details of the evening, which included a grey (not red) carpet to match the boutique’s brand, a fire-blower to perform outside the shop (which turned out very handy on such a cold evening), and stunning decor of the VIP area of Alderley’s Panacea – local hangout to all the celebs and footy players.

Alderley Edge residents love a glamorous launch party – actually they just love a party! Glamorous guests walked the grey carpet dressed to the nines and WAGs showed their support of the new local business Dawn Ward, Jude Cisse and Shauna Muamba – wife to Fabrice Muamba, the Bolton Wanderer who will be showing off more nifty footwork on this year’s Christmas edition of Strictly Come Dancing this year!

It was such a change to my usual week consisting of personal shops, guest speaking events and wardrobes to organise such an event and I forgot just how much fun I have doing it! Plus obviously – I love any excuse to get dressed up!!!

Turns out that in conjunction to Make Events together we appear to have found a nice little niche for ourselves, as within 2 weeks of the launch party, enquiries are steadily coming our way for other fashion events! It’s so funny how sometimes your business / life evolves in to something that you love when you aren’t really looking to change anything. How I love life’s little surprises!
