Prima Fashion Awards 2011 0

Well,I have been a very spoiled girl this week as the Freya team invited me to join them at the Prima Fashion Awards held at Battersea Evolution Marquee in London.

This was the 17th Comfort Prima High street fashion awards and attracted over 100o guests this year! The theme this year was Bright and Whites and this was very much reflected in the decoration of the marquee.

The evening was just pure joy. I had been very nervous about attending as lets just say a smart frock and dancing shoes are not normality the attire of a Multiple Mummy but I did get 3 hours of time to myself in the hotel to make myself presentable. I had on my new Tara Underwear to give me a flattering figure under my dress and also the body confidence of matching underwear is amazing!

The Freya Girls Holly and Claire and me in the middle!

The evening consisted of a beautiful three course meal, a stunningly choreographed catwalk show of the latest Autumn/winter collections of all the high street stores including Debenhams, Top Shop, New Look, Marks and Spencer, Next and John Lewis. The evening was hosted by Jeff Banks and awards presenters included the likes of Michelle Collins, Joe McElderry, Darius and Elen Rivas!

Michelle Collins helped launch the evening and talked about the charity that the Prima awards were supporting which was breakthrough Breast Cancer – a great cause and one which I am sure many of us relate to either directly or indirectly!

Prima FASHION Awards

A very indulgent pudding!

Sadly Freya was not up for any awards this year but we would like to change that next year! I know you guys love Freya as much as me and we need to support it with votes next year!

There were 20 categories of award this year with Next winning the overall Retailer of the year award! The awards winners were chosen by a judging panel including Drapers editor in chief Caroline Nodder along with votes from Prima readers and high street shoppers.

The evening finished with a Comfort cocktail bar and a dance floor and the girls and I kept going to 2am. This is not bad considering I had to get up and be home by 10am (which was 3 hours away) to then look after my three munckins. Not great when you get a sharp awaking of the memory of the night after alcohol! However it was brilliant and fabulous to have a night off! It was fabulous to get to meet some people and let them know about Freya Fitting Talk and how I got to be the Freya Blog Star.

I left with a very heavy goody bag and huge smile on my face. A delightful evening spent with some lovely people and two very gorgeous Freya Ladies! Lets hope next year we are celebrating! Congratulations to all the winners of the evening.
