Thanks for contacting the Bra Doctor.
If the cup is digging in under the arm pit this can mean that the cup is either too big or not big enough. The wire should fit behind the breast tissue under the arm but it should be high that it digs in under the arm. If the wire is sitting on the breast tissue this will dig in and rub. Please see a link to our fitting video which will show how a bra should fit, view here.
We would recommend you visit your nearest Freya stockist to ensure you are wearing the correct size and style for your bust shape. Please see here for your nearest Freya stockist.
We have several ranges of soft cup bras which have no underwire - please see here.
Have you tried our sister brand Elomi? Elomi has many styles in a 44G, often with a j hook to convert to a racer back which will distribute weight and prevent slippage. All their ranges are designed with larger backs and bigger cups sizes in mind so have wider, stronger straps. We suggest you try Rita, Caitlyn or Etta.
The Rio bra is very similar in style and fit to the discontinued Millie.
Please see here for one of our UK stockists who deliver internationally as well.
In theory you purchase the swim top that is your bra size. However some women prefer to go up a back size so that it is not so tight. Also if it is a tankini or swimsuit they may need a little more length or space within the body depending on their size.
Can you please resubmit your query as I'm not sure which bra range you are referring to?
We are sorry to hear that our range of Freya bras do not give you the silhouette and shape you would like. I have passed your feed back on to our design and manufacturing teams.
I am unsure of which styles you have tried - is it just the plunge and balcony? If you got on well with the Deco, it may be worth trying some of the half cup styles such as Patsy.
A size 12-14 bottom will be equivalent to a Freya medium in reference to co-ordinates.
Please ensure that your straps are tight enough and correctly positions
because if they are too loose they will slip of your shoulder.
Alternatively you may like to try the Deco Delight range which has a j hook on the straps so it can be converted to a racer back which will also prevent slippage.
It's estimated that 80% of women are in the wrong size bra, but it's easy to find the right fit every time. See our quick video guide.
