Thanks for contacting the Bra Doctor.
As a general rule Freya Bikini tops do not run large.
I imagine this will be to turn the back into the racer back style. This will ensure the straps do not slip from the shoulders and also gives added support if required. The bra does not have to be worn using this additional feature.

The Deco soft cup only comes in the black and nude.
However the Deco plunge bra which does have an underwire comes in many more fun colours - see here.
As it is a plunge bra it does not come up high between your breasts and you may find it a more comfortable fit than regular balcony bras.
See here for our the Active Samba soft cup sports bra.
The UK equivalent of the American size 32DDD is 32E.
We love the Patsy and the new Flourish. Both are plunge balcony bras with excellent support, shape and a bit more lace.
The Freya moulded strapless slip only comes in a back size from 32-36. If you are a 28DD then a 32 is likely to be too big.
The strapless longline bra and high waisted brief may be a suitable alternative to achieve a similar effect.
The best option would be to get yourself properly fitted by one of our Freya consultants. You can find your nearest stockist here.
If this is not an option you can view our fitting video here which will demonstrate the best way to fit a bra.
Thanks for contacting the Bra doctor.
The bra should be a snug fit and may leave a mark similar to how socks can leave marks on your ankle. It shouldn't rub the skin however or leave you feeling incredibly sore.
I would take the bra to the stockist to be refitted and to ensure that you are fitted correctly.
The soft cup bras would be the best style for your daughter.
We love the Deco soft cup which will give excellent support as well as shape.
