A DDD in US sizing converts to an E cup in the UK, and a DDDD in US sizing converts to an F cup in the UK. Hope this helps.

From the description you have given it sounds as the you may have narrow shoulders which means your bra straps slip off your shoulders. Our sister brand Fantasie offers the gorgeous Esme collection which features centre-pull stretch straps and toe-back straps for added support. these style starps also reduce slippage, take a look: http://www.fantasie.com/lingerie/esme/aw11/moulded_bra.aspx?colour=Black
We also feature similar benefits in our Elomi collections: http://www.elomilingerie.com/
We hope these descriptions help to reduce your strap issues.
Freya swimwear is bra-sized and therefore you should be the same size in your swimwear as you are in your lingerie. However, it is always advisable to have a fitting in a new style to ensure you fit the same size. If you don't have time to do this - we recommend you buy a US 36DDD or English 36E in swimwear.
