Thanks for contacting the Bra Doctor.
Please ensure that your straps are tight enough and correctly positions because if they are too lose they will slip of your shoulder.
You may like to try the Deco Delight plunge bra. It has a j-hook on the back which will convert it to a racer back style which will prevent the straps from slipping.
It is very difficult to tell your true size from measurements because they are found to be around 70% incorrect. We would recommend going to your nearest Freya stockist to be professionally fitted, find your nearest store here.
Alternately we have a bra fitting video that demonstrates how to properly fit a bra here.
You will need to be fitted for the larger breast and then use a breast enhancer for the other breast to pad out the cup. Please see here for your nearest Freya stockist who will be able to assist you.
All of our styles are based on the same sizing however different ranges can fit differently due to the different styles and fabrics used.
If the cup is digging in under the arm pit this can mean that the cup is either too big or not big enough. The wire should fit behind the breast tissue under the arm but it should be high that it digs in under the arm. If the wire is sitting on the breast tissue this will dig in and rub. Please see a link to our fitting video which will show how a bra should fit, view here.
We would recommend you visit your nearest Freya stockist to ensure you are wearing the correct size and style for your bust shape. Please see here for your nearest Freya stockist.
We have several ranges of soft cup bras which have no underwire - please see here.
Have you tried our sister brand Elomi? Elomi has many styles in a 44G, often with a j hook to convert to a racer back which will distribute weight and prevent slippage. All their ranges are designed with larger backs and bigger cups sizes in mind so have wider, stronger straps. We suggest you try Rita, Caitlyn or Etta.
The Rio bra is very similar in style and fit to the discontinued Millie.
Please see here for one of our UK stockists who deliver internationally as well.
In theory you purchase the swim top that is your bra size. However some women prefer to go up a back size so that it is not so tight. Also if it is a tankini or swimsuit they may need a little more length or space within the body depending on their size.
Once you’ve discovered your size, you need to find the style to suit your shape & flatter your figure. Uncover our hints & tips to help you choose the right bra.
