Thanks for contacting the Bra Doctor.
A 44DDD is equivalent to a UK 44E - the next cup size up is 44F.
We would recommend however that you visit your nearest Freya stockist to be fitted to ensure you are wearing not only the correct size but also the correct style for your bust.
Please see here for your nearest Freya stockist.
The Freya Active Sports bras are not designed for swimming - they do not have chlorine resistant qualities and so could deteriorate quite quickly.
We have the Freya Active Moulded Crop Top and the moulded swimsuit which both have integral bras giving excellent support and anchorage. We would recommend using either of these as they are made with Sensitive Life fabric which have quick drying and chlorine resistant qualities.
Different brands will fit slightly different as well as ranges within a brand, this is due to the different styles and fabrics used. To get the best fit for a Freya bra we recommend you visit your local Freya stockist who will be able to fit and advise on the best style to suit your shape.
See here for your nearest Freya stockist.
The ideal would be to visit one of our stockists to be professionally fitted - they will be able to ensure you are wearing not only the correct size but the correct style for your bust. Please see here for your nearest stockist.
If the back is too back you will go to a 32, then increasing the cup size - look at a 32E or a 32F.
If the bra has been handwashed then I recommend you return it to the original point of purchase for it to be quality tested.
It sounds like you may need to be fitted as you may not be wearing the correct size or style for your size.
We do not stock this size so I would recommend our sister company Elomi who have a large selection in this size - please see here. Please see here for all the stockists of Elomi who will be able to ensure you are wearing the correct size.
It is very difficult to tell your true size from measurements because they are found to be around 70% incorrect. We would recommend going to your nearest Freya stockist to be professionally fitted, however as this is not feasible please see our bra fitting video here.
As a starting point - you could try a 36D or a 34E.
We suggest you visit your nearest Freya stockist and ask our fitting consultant for a bra fitting. Our fitting consultant will ensure you are wearing the correct bra size and suggest a style suited to your bust shape.
You can find your nearest Freya stockist here.
Alternatively if you are unable to visit one of our stockists you may like to try our Freya Fancies bralette which is a lovely soft cup bra suited to smaller cup sizes.
Our swimwear is not necessarily based from our lingerie.
However you may like to try our new style Hero which is offering excellent fit, shape and support.
